ON CALL SERVICE
We understand that Cleaners do fall ill and there may be times when they are unable to come to work. We ask that if cleaners are feeling unwell, that they inform us first thing in the morning so we can cover this shift in time, however that has not always happened so we had to look at how this is managed.
We came up with an on call service, whereby a rota is completed weekly and a staff member is allocated each day to be on call. If a member of staff is unable to do their shift, it is down to the on call member of staff that day to cover.
We believe that this is very effective and encourages people to use our services, as a cleaner is guaranteed at all times.
We have also been mindful that poor weather conditions can prevent Cleaners from getting to their place of work. For this reason we are looking at trying to employ people close to their place of work where possible.
